The official website for the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero anime franchise revealed on Saturday that the second television anime season will premiere in October.
The second season consists of two parts. The first part (the first six episodes of the second season) will be Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter). The second part (the final six episodes) will be Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Yūsha no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter), a direct sequel to the first television anime series.
Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō is an adaptation of Takahiro and BUNBUN's illustrated spinoff novel series. The anime will first screen in Japan as a three-part film series. The first film will open on March 18, the second film will open on April 15, and the third film will open on July 8.
The first 12-episode anime series premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA released the anime in three Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo packs in North America in 2015.
