X Japan band co-founder to hold press conference with U.S. comic pioneer at event
YOSHIKI, the co-founder of the rock band X Japan, confirmed at his FanimeCon panel on Saturday that he and American comic pioneer Stan Lee plan to debut "issue #0" of their collaborative comic project at Comic-Con International in San Diego this July. The two had revealed their "music super hero comic book and motion comic series" at New York Comic Con last October, and YOSHIKI confirmed earlier this month that he and Lee will hold a press conference at Comic-Con International.
Lee appeared in X Japan's "Born to Be Free" music video, and he has contributed to YOSHIKI's benefit efforts in the past. The two attended the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards together in January.
