Dragon's Crown Game's Opening Movie Streamed

posted on
Vanillaware's '2D action RPG' slated for August 6 in N. America

Game developer Atlus began streaming the opening movie for its Dragon's Crown game for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on Friday. The video features the game's six main characters, for which Atlus previously posted introduction videos.

Atlus will ship the "2D action RPG" in Japan on July 25 and in North America on August 6. The game will be available for PlayStation 3 for US$49.99 and PlayStation Vita for US$39.99. Fans who pre-order the game will receive a limited-edition art book.

For the first month after the game's North American release, Voice Pack downloadable content that replaces the narrator voice with the voice of one of the six main characters will be available for free. After the first month, the pack will be available for US$1.99.

Vanillaware (Odin's Sphere, Muramasa: The Demon Blade) is developing the game, and George Kamitani is directing. Save data can be transferred from one device to another, but Atlus USA confirmed that cross-platform multiplayer will not be available.
