Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Previewed in 13-Minute Video

The official Final Fantasy XIV YouTube channel began streaming the Japanese store promotional movie for Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn massive multi-player online role-playing game on Wednesday.
The video introduces the world of the upcoming revamp, walks through the character creation process, profiles the Eorzea city-states, outlines the expanding storylines, previews the foes that will confront players, showcases the armory and job systems, introduces the characters who will fight alongside players, and teases the adventures to be had in Eorzea.
Stores in Japan are showing this video to prepare for the revamp's worldwide retail launch on August 27.
Square Enix released Final Fantasy XIV Online for personal computers in September 2010. After criticism from fans, the company revealed an updated version of the game titled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn that adds a new world and story. The game will be released for PlayStation 3 and PC on August 27 and for PlayStation 4 in 2014.
