AKB48's Haruna Kojima & Bear Mascots Gather for Ted 2 Event

posted on by Carlos Cadorniga

America's popular vulgar talking teddy bear recently went international and posed alongside a pop idol and a team of his fuzzy peers.

AKB48's Haruna Kojima recently appeared as a member of the "Ted Fan Club" at a Japan promotional event for the U.S. film, Ted 2 last week.

Kojima expressed her enthusiasm for the film at the event as well as her shock at the film's content.

"Ted says a lot of very mean things," Kojima remarked. "But he still had my support. He's got a lot of heart."

Sharing the stage with her was Japanese comedian Hiroiki Ariyoshi, the Japanese dub voice for Ted in both films. Ariyoshi shared his own experiences on dubbing the role.

"There's a lot of American jokes that you may or may not laugh at," he stated. "But I think people will enjoy it regardless."

Also in attendance was Ted himself along with a team of Japanese bear mascots including Kumamon, ZomBear and Melonkuma among others. Kojima dealt with a lot of activity from the bears as Melonkuma tried "eating her" and Ted became rather hands-on with the pop star, as per his crude nature. The many bears got along well as they went on to lounge briefly on stage and interact with each other. The event ended with a photo shoot of the two guest speakers alongside the many mascots.

Ted 2 premiered in the United States on June 26 and will premiere in Japan on August 28.
