In Gamon Sakurai's Ajin - Demi-Human manga, Ajin walk among regular humans unbeknownst to their friends or sometimes even themselves. A new app can help users locate Ajin using the camera function on their smartphone.
Photos taken by the app can be shown to members of the anime films' production committee on Twitter using the hashtag "#亜人検知 (Ajin Detector). The app will also play a role in promoting the films with exclusive benefits.
The part-time job source "an" is hosting a special event on November 27 that plans to "hire" up to 20 people for a special case. Participants will be asked to investigate the supernatural beings from the movie and prevent them from moving about in the city.
Ajin: Demi-Human - Compel opens in theaters in Japan on November 27.
