Shoko Nakagawa Picks Dragon Quest for 'Girlfriend Date' Pictures

Late last month, voice actor Kouichi Yamadera started off a Twitter trend storm by posting a picture that he said "You can use as 'On a date with my boyfriend.'" Friends and colleagues joined in from Megumi Ogata to Daiki Yamashita. Some were playful while others were downright silly. Cicada-loving Shoko "Shokotan" Nakagawa joined in by offering a Dragon Quest focused imaginary date in the Universal Studios Japan theme park.

Nakagawa checked out the theme park on Saturday where the Cool Japan 2017 attractions are currently wrapping up before Universal Summer Jump takes over on June 30. "Dragon Quest the Real" is part of the Cool Japan line-up.

Shokotan is no stranger to Dragon Quest. She threw the first pitch at the SoftBank Hawks vs. Rakuten Eagles baseball game last summer while dressed as Princess Alena. She's currently on the board to help select the official Tokyo 2020 Olympic mascot.
