Keep Coins in Natsume's Book of Friends Nyanko-Sensei Bank

If you don't already have enough Nyanko-sensei merch, a new character item can help you save for future Natsume's Book of Friends purchases. A maneki-neko ("beckoning cat") coin bank shaped like the plump and adorable Nyanko-sensei is available for pre-order now through TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S' online shop.
The bank celebrates the 10th anniversary of the first television anime adaptation of Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume's Book of Friends (Natsume Yūjin-Chō) manga. Seto-based ceramics maker Airyūsha is producing the Seto ware bank. The city of Seto, Aichi is famous for its traditional Seto ware pottery, stoneware, and ceramics.
Each bank will stand about 17.5 centimeters (about 7 inches) tall and be able to hold up to 250,000 yen (about US$2,360) in 500-yen coins. Nyanko-sensei's ceramic coin will feature the name of the franchise. The bank will come with a paulownia wood box.
The bank costs 10,000 yen (about US$94), and it is slated to ship in July.
The upcoming Gekijōban Natsume Yūjin-Chō: Utsusemi ni Musubu (Natsume's Book of Friends the Movie: Tied to the Temporal World) anime film will premiere in Japan on September 29, and it will feature an original story written under Midorikawa's supervision.
