Nintendo revealed during its Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday that Square Enix's Dragon Quest X release for the Nintendo Switch will ship in Japan this fall. In addition, players of the game's Wii version will be able to upgrade to the Switch version for free.
The game also has a planned PlayStation 4 version.
Square Enix released Dragon Quest X on the Wii and Wii U platforms in March 2013, and on the PC in September 2013. Android and Nintendo 3DS versions have also since been released.
Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete (Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time), the Dragon Quest franchise's latest main game, will ship in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS on July 29. A Nintendo Switch version is still reportedly planned.
