English-Subtitled Last Exile Anime Moves to Crunchyroll

Funimation continues to stream English-dubbed version

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that the English-subtitled version of Last Exile has left Funimation's streaming service and begun streaming on Crunchyroll as part of the two companies' partnership. The English-dubbed version will continue streaming on Funimation.

Funimation describes the anime:

Claus Valca and his fiery navigator Lavie are obsessed with becoming the first sky couriers to cross the Grand Stream in a vanship. But when the high-flying duo encounters a mysterious girl named Alvis, they are thrust into the middle of an endless battle between Anatoray and Disith—two countries systematically destroying each other according to the code of chivalric warfare.

The anime premiered in 2003 as Gonzo's 10th anniversary work. Geneon Entertainment released the series on seven DVD singles from 2003 to 2004. Funimation then licensed the anime in 2008 after Geneon ceased distribution of its titles. Funimation re-released the series on DVD in 2009, and on Blu-ray Disc in 2011.
