posted on by Karen Ressler
Square Enix announced on Monday that it will offer limited physical editions of Secret of Mana for PlayStation 4 in the Americas. The physical editions will be available at GameStop in the United States, EB Games in Canada, and unspecified participating retailers in Latin America. Square Enix also began streaming an announcement trailer.
The remake will feature full 3D graphics, voice acting, and rearranged music. The PlayStation 4 and PC versions will feature three-player multiplayer, and the PlayStation Vita version will support ad-hoc multiplayer. All versions are slated for release in Japan, North America, and Europe on February 15, 2018.
Those who pre-order the game in all three regions will receive DLC "moogle suit" costumes for Randi, Prim, and Popoi, a "tiger two-piece" costume for Primm, and a "tiger suit" costume for Randi and Popoi.
Square Enix released the original game on the Super Famicom (SNES) in 1993 as a sequel to Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (Final Fantasy Adventure), and the game is the first in the series to not bear the Final Fantasy franchise name in the title. Square Enix recently re-released the game in Japan on the Nintendo Switch alongside the first and third games on June 1.
