Konami Reveals Momotaro Densetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! Switch Game

Game slated for 2020 release
Nintendo revealed during its Japanese Nintendo Direct stream on Thursday that Konami is developing a new game in its Momotaro Densetsu game series titled Momotaro Densetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! (A Staple in the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa Periods!) for the Nintendo Switch. The game is slated for a 2020 release. Series creator Akira Sakuma returns as designer and director for the game.
The first game in the series by Hudson Soft in 1987. Konami absorbed Hudson Soft and the rights to the series in 2012. The game series spawned a 51-episode television anime series in 1989, and a 24-episode spinoff television anime titled Peach Command Shin Momotaro Densetsu in 1990.
