Square Enix Launches Dungeon Encounters RPG on October 14

Square Enix announced during a Tokyo Game Show program on Friday a new role-playing game titled Dungeon Encounters that will launch digitally for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on October 14.
The dungeon exploration RPG will feature 2D grid-based labyrinths, puzzles, and battles. Hiroyuki Itō (Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XII) is directing the game. The game will include a new iteration of Ito's Active Time Battle system, which was introduced in Final Fantasy IV and used in several of the series' titles. Hiroaki Katō (Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age) is producing the game. Ryoma Ito (Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X) is the character designer. Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu is directing the music and overseeing the soundtrack.
